Ronald Roncone, DDS, MS
Dr. Roncone received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1969 at the Marquette University School of Dentistry. He earned Postdoctoral Certificate in Orthodontics in 1971 at the Forsyth Dental Center and Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He has conducted extensive research in the area of TMJ dysfunction, investigating the causes, types, pain and treatment of TMJ. Dr. Roncone received several prestigious honors and awards including grants from the United States Public Health Service for the Study of Cleft Palate, in 1966-69 (Marquette University School of Dentistry), and in 1969-71 (Harvard School of Dental Medicine). Other honors and awards bestowed upon Dr. Roncone are from the Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit Honorary Fraternity and the Omnicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honorary Fraternity. He has taught at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, University of Maryland, University of Southern California and University of Los Angeles.
Dr. Roncone takes pride in his involvement within the Vista community. He has participated on the board of directors for the Vista Boys and Girls Club as well as served as president of the Vista Chamber of Commerce. Several professional organization offices have been held by Dr. Roncone. He was a Member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego County Dental Society from 1989-91, as well as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics from 1993-96.
Dr. Roncone has maintained professional affiliation(s) as a consultant for several orthodontic companies since 1981. He is presently a consultant for GAC. Since 1972 Dr. Roncone has presented more than 1,000 lectures to students, dental assistants, staff members, hygienists, dentists, orthodontists, and physicians in the areas of practice management, marketing, motivation, mechanotherapy, and orthodontic/TMJ diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Roncone and his wife have eight children and three grandchildren. They both enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Roncone bowled on the professional bowling circuit while attending college, is an avid Padres baseball fan and enjoys living in beautiful San Diego.
